Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive care for five medical patients per shift on the 6A Acute Care for the Elderly unit, managing conditions ranging from fractured hips and stroke recovery to COPD, dementia, and UTIs. Collaborate daily with an interdisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, physicians, pharmacy staff, and physical therapists to address complex patient needs. Requires DE RN license, one year of inpatient hospital experience, and a demonstrated passion for working with older adults. Schedule includes nights (7p-7a), weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- DE RN License or a Compact Nursing License
- One year of experience in an inpatient hospital setting
- A demonstrated passion for working with older adults
- BLS
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Gerontology Certification
