Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care on the Women's Unit, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for GYN and post-surgical patients. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching, while coordinating interdisciplinary rounds and documentation to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Uphold evidence-based practice standards, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and mentor junior staff as a preceptor. Operate a full-time night shift from 7 pm to 7 am.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing
- Reg Nurse (Single State)
- RN - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support
- BLS - Instructor
- BLS - Provisional
- Neonatal Resuscitation Prvdr
- NRP - Instructor
- NRP-Provisional
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
