Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care for GYN and post-surgical patients on the Women's Unit, performing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation while partnering with patients and families to set care goals. Mentor staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and participate in shared governance activities to advance evidence-based practice. Maintain current licensure, BLS, and neonatal resuscitation certifications within a night shift schedule (7 pm–7 am).
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing
- Reg Nurse (Single State) 1.00 Upon Hire
- RN - Multi-state Compact 1.00 Upon Hire
- Basic Life Support 2.00
- BLS - Instructor 2.00
- BLS - Provisional 2.00
- Neonatal Resuscitation Prvdr 3.00
- NRP - Instructor 3.00
- NRP-Provisional 3.00
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
