Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care - Women's Unit (GYN)

Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care for GYN and post-surgical patients on the Women's Unit during night shifts (7 pm - 7 am). Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation while coordinating interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews. Partner with patients and families to set care goals, provide bedside teaching, and ensure timely documentation of safe, quality outcomes. Mentor staff and students, participate in shared governance activities, and contribute to protocol development to improve performance metrics. Maintain current licensure and certifications including BLS, NRP, and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in nursing
- Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
- Reg Nurse (Single State) 1.00 Upon Hire
- RN - Multi-state Compact 1.00 Upon Hire
- Basic Life Support 2.00
- BLS - Instructor 2.00
- BLS - Provisional 2.00
- Neonatal Resuscitation Prvdr 3.00
- NRP - Instructor 3.00
- NRP-Provisional 3.00
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
