Job Summary
Provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit, fostering patient/family-centered care while adhering to safety protocols, cost containment, and quality improvement standards. Conduct assessments, develop individual plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and validate goals with patients and families. Deliver direct care to assigned patients, delegate tasks appropriately, and monitor quality of care through performance indicators and audits. Teach patients and families using familiar language, report changes in condition to the healthcare team, and evaluate opportunities for quality improvement based on patient response to interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State
- Licensed to practice as a RN in the state the team member is working
- Current licensure renewal
- Assigned training
