Job Summary
Provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient surgical specialty setting, fostering patient/family-centered care using evidence-based practices. Collect data, complete assessments, and identify nursing priorities to develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Deliver direct care to assigned patients, monitor quality, and evaluate plan effectiveness while incorporating cost containment and safety protocols. Schedule includes weekend, holiday, and on-call work for 24 hours per week. This role supports Prisma Health's mission to transform healthcare by serving over 1.2 million patients annually in South Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State
- Licensed to practice as a RN in the state the team member is working
- Ability to be scheduled for weekend, holiday, and on-call work
