Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse in Acute Care-Surgical/Orthopedics/Trauma delivers patient-centered nursing care within an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include performing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice; coordinating care and documentation; delivering relationship-based, culturally competent care; engaging in bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, patient and family education, and ensuring care aligns with standards and policies. The role emphasizes teamwork, medical-surgical nursing competencies, preceptorship/mentorship, and participation in performance improvement and data collection to support safe, high-quality patient care. Requires Georgia RN licensure, with required and preferred educational pathways, and BLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing
- RN license (Single State)
- RN - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- BLS - Instructor
- BLS - Provisional
