Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients in acute care post-surgical and telemetry units. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication through rounds and case reviews while documenting care and maintaining a respectful clinical environment. Partner with patients and families to set goals, provide bedside teaching, and ensure individualized, culturally responsive care. Participate in shared governance, performance improvement activities, and evidence-based practice initiatives to promote safe patient outcomes. Mentor staff and students to support workforce development and model professional nursing standards. Maintain licensure and complete mandatory education and competency assessments in compliance with Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and Wellstar policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience Required
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
