Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide individualized, evidence-based patient care. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation while partnering with patients and families to set care goals. Mentor staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and develop protocols to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications, complete mandatory education, and uphold legal and accreditation standards. Requires five years of acute care experience and a BSN or RN degree. Located at Cobb Hospital with day shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 5 years relevant, recent, acute care clinical nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care
- Holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment
- Respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
