Job Summary
Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice to deliver individualized, relationship-based care to patients and families. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, complete timely documentation, and partner with patients to set care goals. Mentor staff and students, participate in shared governance, and lead performance improvement initiatives to promote safe, quality patient outcomes. Uphold Georgia Nurse Practice Act standards, ACLS/BLS certifications, and Wellstar policies while supporting recruitment and retention efforts. Minimum 5 years acute care experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN (Reg Nurse Single State or RN-COMPACT Multi-state Compact)
- ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support, or Instructor/Provisional within 180 Days)
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support, Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support, or Instructor)
- Minimum 5 years relevant, recent, acute care clinical nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Nursing degree (Preferred)
