Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice to ensure safe, individualized patient care. Partner with patients and families through bedside reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and timely teaching while coordinating care across the continuum. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to document care, participate in case reviews, and support performance improvement initiatives. Complete mandatory education, serve as a preceptor, and contribute to protocol development to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Maintain compliance with Georgia Nurse Practice Act, TJC safety goals, and Wellstar policies. Requires 5 years of acute care experience and ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 5 years relevant, recent, acute care clinical nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
