Job Summary

Provide individualized, high-quality, safe patient care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team within a clinical environment governed by the WellStar Shared Governance Model and Professional Practice Model. Ensure patients, families, and significant others receive appropriate services while upholding the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Function in a fast-paced environment to respond to emergencies with decisive, composed, and respectful manner, utilizing strong critical thinking and evidence-based practice skills. Maintain current licensure in Georgia or under the Enhanced Nurse Compact, hold a valid BLS card, and possess basic computer skills to optimize technology use for clinical care. Work full-time nights (7pm-7am) to enhance the health and well-being of every person served.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN)
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Georgia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in position
  • Experience with direct patient care
  • Ability to read, write and speak English language
  • Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment
  • Respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Practice nursing using evidence and analytical skills
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
  • National certification in area of specialty preferred
