Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care for adult cancer patients on a 28-bed MedSurg Oncology unit, performing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Partner with patients and families to set care goals, provide bedside teaching, and coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews. Uphold evidence-based practice standards by participating in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and shared governance activities. Mentor preceptors and staff to support workforce development while maintaining timely documentation and compliance with Georgia Nurse Practice Act and TJC safety goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- direct patient care experience
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
