Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care for adult cancer patients on a 28-bed MedSurg Oncology unit, performing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Partner with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams through bedside rounds, teaching, and case reviews to ensure safe, individualized outcomes. Coordinate documentation, participate in shared governance and performance improvement activities, and mentor staff or students as a preceptor. Maintain evidence-based practice by utilizing clinical research, protocols, and data collection to address practice questions and support system safety goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- direct patient care experience
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
