Job Summary
Perform direct patient care for adult cancer patients on a 28-bed MedSurg Oncology unit, managing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and bedside teaching while documenting care and promoting a respectful clinical environment. Mentor preceptors and staff, participate in shared governance activities, and lead performance improvement initiatives to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Uphold evidence-based practice standards, TJC safety goals, and Georgia Nurse Practice Act requirements in a fast-paced, 24-hour shift environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years RN experience Required
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
