Job Summary
Conduct individualized, evidence-based patient care for acute medical-surgical units while performing the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes, actively partnering with patients and families to set care goals. Mentor and precept new staff, participate in shared governance activities, and contribute to protocol development and performance improvement initiatives. Uphold Wellstar's professional practice model, regulatory standards, and safety absolutes in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
