Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for acute medical-surgical patients while implementing evidence-based care plans. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes, and partner directly with patients and families to set individualized care goals. Mentor staff and students, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and develop clinical protocols to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Complete all mandatory education and competency assessments, and uphold Georgia Nurse Practice Act standards within the Wellstar Shared Governance Model.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours Required or direct patient care experience Preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills required
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
