Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the MedSurg unit by performing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and just-in-time patient teaching while documenting care and promoting a respectful clinical environment. Partner with patients and families to set care goals, adapt service delivery to cultural diversity, and participate in shared governance activities. Mentor staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and contribute to protocol development to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Maintain current licensure and complete mandatory education requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours Required or direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
