Job Summary
Conduct individualized, high-quality patient care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team within Wellstar Kennestone Hospital's MedSurg unit. Implement the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing standards, and evidence-based research while upholding the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association ethics. Manage direct patient care shifts from 7am to 7pm, utilizing strong critical thinking and time management skills to respond decisively to emergencies in a fast-paced environment. Maintain basic computer skills to optimize technology for clinical care and demonstrate excellent interpersonal collaboration with staff, families, and patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN)
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Georgia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in position
- Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write and speak English language

- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner

Desired Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
