Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in an acute medical-surgical unit, ensuring high-quality, safe care for patients, families, and significant others. Operate within an interdisciplinary team under the WellStar Shared Governance Model, upholding the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and evidence-based standards. Manage daily responsibilities including reading, writing, and speaking English, while utilizing technology to support clinical care and demonstrating strong critical thinking and time management skills. Respond to emergencies with a decisive, composed, and respectful manner in a fast-paced environment. Maintain current licensure in Georgia or hold eNLC privileges, including a current BLS card.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN)
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Georgia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in position
- Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
