Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in an acute care med-surg unit while upholding the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care for patients and families, adhering to WellStar's Shared Governance and Professional Practice Models. Maintain licensure in Georgia or hold eNLC privileges, possess a current BLS card, and apply critical thinking and evidence-based practices in a fast-paced environment. Manage patient services within system policies while utilizing technology to optimize clinical outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN)
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia
- Hold a privilege to practice in the State of Georgia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Current BLS card from the American Heart Association
- Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care
- Hold basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment
- Respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner

Desired Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
