Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, safe services for patients, families, and significant others. Uphold the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association standards, and WellStar's Shared Governance and Professional Practice Models while implementing evidence-based research. Collaborate with Nurse Managers and other leaders to support service excellence goals, maintain patient voices, and respond to emergencies with decisive, composed, and respectful judgment. Operate within a fast-paced environment using strong critical thinking, time management, and basic computer skills to optimize clinical care. Work full-time days (7am-7pm) at Kennestone Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN)
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Georgia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in position
- Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment
- Ability to respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Possessing strong critical thinking skills
Desired Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
- National certification in area of specialty preferred
