Job Summary
Registered Nurse for acute care Med Surg/Telemetry on the Day shift (7a-7p) at Wellstar in Hiram, GA. The RN provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, supports evidence-based practice, mentors others as a preceptor, and ensures compliance with policies and standards. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care; coordination and documentation; advocacy for patients and families; and participation in governance and performance improvement initiatives. Requires current RN licensure (GA) with BLS, and minimum 2 years direct patient care experience; associate degree or diploma required (bachelor’s preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Required Minimum Education: Associates Nursing or Diploma; Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
