Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care – Med Surg/Post Surgical on Day shift (7a-7p) at Wellstar Paulding campus, a 28-bed unit focused on post-surgical and telemetry care with Magnet designation. Provides patient-centered care, collaborates with interdisciplinary team, supports evidence-based practice, and upholds nursing standards and professional ethics. Responsible for nursing process, documentation, patient and family education, and participation in performance improvement and shared governance to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma in Nursing OR Bachelors Nursing (Preferred)
- RN license (Single State) or RN-COMPACT (Multi-state)
- BLS or equivalent Basic Life Support
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- English language proficiency (read/write/speak)
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Ability to function in fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
- Evidence-based practice and critical thinking skills
- Ability to use technology to support clinical care
- Ability to perform nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Ability to coordinate care and document accurately
- Experience with telemetry and unit-based care settings
- Preceptor/mentoring responsibilities preferred
