Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care at Wellstar on a fulltime day shift (7a-7p) at the Kennesaw, GA campus. The role involves providing patient-centered nursing care on a 28-bed med/surg unit with post-surgical focus and telemetry, practicing according to the nursing process, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care; ensuring evidence-based practice; coordinating care; maintaining documentation; delivering culturally sensitive care; engaging in interdisciplinary rounds and patient-family education; and upholding nursing standards and Wellstar policies. Requires active RN licensure (Georgia or multi-state compact), BLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience. Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills required
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills; practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills
