Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care on a 28-bed Med Surg/Post Surgical floor with telemetry, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation while partnering with patients and families to set care goals. Mentor preceptors and staff, participate in shared governance, and lead performance improvement initiatives to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Uphold evidence-based practice, TJC safety goals, and Wellstar policies within a Magnet Designated environment. Requires 2+ years direct patient care experience, RN license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
