Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care – Med Surg/Post Surgical at Wellstar. Full-time day shift (7a-7p) on a magnet-designated unit with 28 beds, mainly postoperative and telemetry. Provides relationship-based, patient-centered nursing care using evidence-based practice; coordinates care across interdisciplinary teams; documents and communicates effectively; participates in performance improvement and protocol development; may serve as a preceptor for staff and students; adheres to professional standards and organizational policies. Requires current RN licensure and BLS; minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience; education preferred at the bachelor level; strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN License (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- English language literacy and communication skills
- Ability to use technology to support clinical care and basic computer skills
