Job Summary
Inspire health by applying clinical directives to acute inpatient Med Surg and telemetry care. Provides direct and coordinated nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, including data collection and nursing assessments, planning and implementing individualized care plans, evaluating outcomes, and documenting progress. Maintains patient safety and continuity of care through discharge planning and coordination with providers, family, and interdisciplinary staff. Exercises knowledge of safety, infection control, regulatory requirements, cost containment, and quality improvement while delivering patient-centered care. Requires ADN (Bachelor’s preferred) and a SC RN license, with ~1 year of RN experience; weekend/holiday/on-call may be required. This is a full-time, day-shift role in Columbia, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Education - Associate degree in Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current RN license recognized by state
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Eligible for compact/multistate RN license or licensed in the state of practice
- In lieu of Associate degree will accept nursing diploma with RN licensure
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (TJC, SC DPH, CMS)
- Ability to maintain licensure and complete mandatory education
