Job Summary
Provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting, fostering patient/family centered care. Conduct assessments, develop individual plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and validate goals with patients and families. Monitor quality of care, perform audits, and evaluate opportunities for quality improvement while incorporating cost containment principles. Ensure patient safety by adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory agency requirements including TJC, SC DPH, and CMS. Schedule includes days, weekends, holidays, and on-call work. This role supports Prisma Health's mission to transform healthcare for community benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as a RN in the state the team member is working
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and on-call
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
