Job Summary
Provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting, fostering patient/family centered care. Conduct assessments, develop individual plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and validate goals with patients and families. Deliver direct care consistent with the RN scope of practice while monitoring quality and ensuring patient safety. Coordinate discharge planning to assure continuity of care and smooth transitions. Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory agency requirements, and infection control protocols. Perform assigned tasks, delegate appropriately, and complete performance improvement monitoring. Work day shifts, with potential weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as a RN in the state the team member is working
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
- Weekend work
- Holiday work
- On-call work
- Day shift
