Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for Acute Care Float on Day shift (Full-time). Responsibilities include performing the Nursing Process with evidence-based practice, delivering patient-centered care, coordinating care through interdisciplinary collaboration, conducting bedside shift reports and rounds, and supporting performance improvement initiatives. Requires a BSN (preferred) and RN licensure with BLS certification. The role emphasizes professional development, precepting/mentoring, and adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Location at Kennestone/Wellstar facilities with a focus on compassionate, culturally competent care; day shift (7am–7pm).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Multistate RN license (NurseCompact)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- BLS Instructor (optional/preferred)
- Knowledge of nursing theory, regulations and practices
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures
- Skill in assessment, examination, treatment techniques
- Skill in problem identification and solution recommendations
- Skill in maintaining medication/treatment records
- Ability to perform duties timely and efficiently
- Effective communication with patients, staff and public
- Ability to react calmly in emergencies
- Strong interpersonal and teaching skills
- Understanding of cardiac anatomy, conditions, and treatment modalities
