Job Summary
Provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting, fostering patient/family centered care. Conduct assessments, recognize subtle changes in patient status, and develop individual plans of care based on age and assessed needs. Deliver direct care to assigned patients, coordinate tasks, and monitor quality while incorporating cost containment principles. Document progress toward expected outcomes, revise plans as needed, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Serve as the patient's advocate, provide education to patients and families, and complete assigned performance improvement monitoring. Work a 24-hour weekly schedule in the Emergency Department, with potential weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State
- Licensed to practice as a RN in the state the team member is working
- Must be available for weekend, holiday, and on-call work
