Job Summary
Assess patients, develop individual plans of care, and provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department acute inpatient setting. Monitor patient status, validate priorities with the healthcare team, and document progress toward discharge goals while incorporating cost containment and quality improvement. Perform specific tasks within the RN scope of practice, delegate assignments, and ensure patient safety through adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards. Maintain licensure, complete mandatory education, and participate in shift-to-shift reporting and performance improvement audits. Night shift rotation required at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State
- Licensed to practice as a RN in the state the team member is working
- Night shift availability
- Weekend work availability
- Holiday work availability
- On-call work availability
