Job Summary
Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, deliver care plans with independent judgment, and coordinate daily patient flow to optimize outcomes. Assists with care planning, maintains documentation of assessments and incidents, and serves as an educational resource for patients and families. Prioritize actions based on patient needs, communicate critical information to providers, and support performance improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Maintain professional licenses, complete required training, and foster team growth through mentorship while upholding safety and confidentiality standards. Work full-time night shifts (36 hours/week) at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- Maintains professional licenses and certifications
- Completes all required training
- Is involved in professional organizations
- Keeps current with research literature and industry best practices
- Adheres to all confidentiality, safety, and professional standards
- Acts with professionalism embrace shared governance principles and demonstrate integrity
- Holds self and others accountable for practice by participating in the peer feedback process
- Positively promotes the nursing profession and assists with the recruitment of nurses to AU Health
- Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
