Job Summary
Assess and monitor patients with complex behavioral and medical needs in the Brain Health Unit, administering medications and treatments safely. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge needs, ensuring accurate clinical documentation. Deliver safe, compassionate, age-appropriate nursing care to support patients navigating Alzheimer's, dementia, and other complex brain health conditions. Associate Degree in Nursing required with one year of RN experience; current Maryland RN license necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience
- Current Maryland RN license or eligibility through a compact state license
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- Experience with Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems
