Job Summary

Be the primary RN providing and coordinating comprehensive care for abdominal transplant patients (liver, kidney, and pancreas) on a fast-paced, high-acuity unit. Deliver nursing care through the nursing process, apply evidence-based practice, and collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe environment and exceptional patient experience. Roles include leadership support (e.g., Charge RN/Clinical Resource Nurse), care planning across perioperative and transplant pathways, and ongoing education for patients and families. Requires completion of an accredited nursing program and an RN license in the practicing state; BLS certification is required. Schedule features 36 hours per week with days 0700-1900, plus a Weekend Program (Fri/Sat/Sun 0700-1900) with rotating holidays; unit specializes in transplant care and associated medical/surgical needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
