Job Summary
Admit patients by obtaining medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating home situations to determine necessary health teaching. Provide skilled nursing care, initiate preventative procedures, and observe symptoms while reporting reactions to physicians. Supervise staff aides, evaluate their performance, and coordinate total client care by consulting with the physician and other health team members. Prepare OASIS documents, nursing care plans, and weekly clinical notes; chart services rendered and revisions to the plan. Participate in case conferences, staff development meetings, and educational experiences for student nurses. Travel to prospective client residences and maintain ongoing knowledge of current drug therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the applicable state
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Professional Nurse
- Reliable means of transportation
- Required insurance coverage
- State driver's license
- Valid state specific RN license
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing to the extent required by the position
- Able to physically perform the duties required by the position
- Able to travel to prospective clients' residences
