Job Summary
Perform comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing relationships to formulate individualized plans of care. Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner, advocating for rights and resolving issues while coordinating transition planning. Document activities per standards, evaluate processes to achieve outcomes, and make clinical decisions based on experience and population data. Requires a BSN (ADN holders must complete within five years) and one year of acute care experience. Current Virginia licensure or eNLC privilege is mandatory, along with BLS certification. This role supports the 11-bed Progressive and Intermediate Care unit at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, serving cardiac, neurological, and isolation patients.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Associate's degree (ADN) with completion of BSN within 5 years of start date
- Minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia
- Privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association
