Job Summary
Provide physical and psych-social support to residents and families by developing relationships using a consistent caregiver approach. Perform clinical duties per state nurse practice act, including administering medications, maintaining infection prevention practices, and promoting resident independence through care goal establishment. Monitor clinical conditions to identify status changes, collaborate with care associates on routine nursing care, and coordinate comprehensive holistic plans of care. Ensure documentation is current and accurate while participating in care conferences as requested. Maintain active RN license with 6 months experience, CPR certification, and familiarity with electronic medical records. Schedule includes two weekdays and every other weekend from 3p-11p in a continuing care retirement community.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience as an RN
- Active RN license in the state in which they will practice
- CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in caring for seniors or senior with cognitive impairment
- Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, internet and web applications
- Experience with an electronic medical record
