Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate care with other departments and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with Mercy Service Standards. Obtain and maintain current RN licensure and required certifications including ACLS and Basic Life Support. Perform duties requiring lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and repetitive physical movements. Work full-time days, 36 hours weekly from Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- ACLS required
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- Inpatient experience, preferably ICU, stepdown or ER, but will consider several years of floor experience
