Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned respiratory patients while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate care in conjunction with other departments and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current RN license and complete required certifications such as ACLS and Basic Life Support. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including lifting 50 lbs and prolonged standing. This role offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus and is scheduled for 36 hours weekly from Monday to Friday. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- ACLS required
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- Inpatient experience, preferably ICU, stepdown or ER, but will consider several years of floor experience
