Job Summary
Provide competent, evidence-based care across the continuum, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Actively participate in clinical decision-making, teaching, and mentoring while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance patient care plans and enhance operational efficiency. Float seamlessly between multiple IU Health facilities—medical-surgical, progressive care, critical care, emergency, and specialty units—based on real-time staffing needs and patient acuity. Requires an active Indiana RN license (or NLC), BSN preferred, and two years of acute care experience. Full-time nights shift with system-wide flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Associates of Nursing (ASN)
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) required for those newly hired or promoted into the position after October 1, 2025
- active Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN License
- graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA)
- highly adaptable, confident, and skilled in managing change
- Experienced in multiple specialties or eager to broaden clinical scope

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience
