Job Summary
Provide competent, evidence-based patient care across the continuum, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Actively participate in clinical decision-making, teaching, and mentoring while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance care plans and enhance operational efficiency. Float seamlessly between Arnett, Frankfort, White, and Tipton hospitals to cover medical-surgical, progressive care, critical care, emergency, and specialty units based on real-time staffing needs and patient acuity. Maintain system-wide flexibility and clinical versatility to support care delivery across the IU Health network. Work full-time night shifts (0.9 FTE) as a vital member of the West Region ED Float Pool.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Nursing (ASN)
- Bachelor of Nursing (BSN)
- active Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN License
- graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA)
- highly adaptable, confident, and skilled in managing change
- experienced in multiple specialties
- strong communication skills
- excellent critical thinking skills
- excellent organizational skills
Desired Qualifications

- 2 years of experience
