Job Summary
Provide nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of the program coordinator, unit manager, and preceptors while adhering to current standards of care and ethical parameters. Engage with the Transition to Practice Coordinator, educators, and healthcare team members to ensure effective learning and successful transition into independent practice. Consistently meet performance expectations associated with the residency curriculum and demonstrate application of the nursing process. This role is part of Vail Health's Transition to Practice Program in Vail, CO, offering a supportive environment for new nurses. Candidates must hold a Colorado RN license, BLS certification, and a Baccalaureate or Associate degree.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or valid compact state required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Graduated with a Baccalaureate Degree or an Associate Degree from an accredited nursing program within a year prior to the time of application
