Job Summary
Provides clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient setting, performing nursing assessments, developing and updating individualized plans of care, coordinating discharge planning, and ensuring quality and safety in collaboration with the healthcare team. Maintains licensure and completes required mandatory education; may be scheduled for weekend, holiday, and on-call work. Requires an RN license (ADN or nursing diploma with licensure) and at least 1 year of RN experience. Night shift position at Blount Memorial Hospital (Medical/Surgical Nursing) with duties across the nursing process and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma with RN licensure
- Holds a current RN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or licensed to practice in the state of work
- One (1) year of experience as a registered nurse
- Nursing practice within the scope of the applicable state act (e.g., South Carolina Nurse Practice Act)
- Ability to work night shift and inpatient acute care setting
- Successful completion of Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or equivalent residency accepted in lieu of RN experience (per posting)
