Job Summary
Registered Nurse Residency Program for new RN graduates in Ohio. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to patient care, coordinating and directing nursing activities, collaborating with healthcare professionals, documenting care and providing health education to patients and families. The program emphasizes comprehensive learning through classroom seminars, preceptorship, and didactic learning to advance from novice to proficient professional nurse, with mandatory education, performance improvement participation, and adherence to hospital policies. Eligible candidates hold an Ohio RN license, with required certifications (BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS/NRP within six months, de-escalation training), and must be flexible to work all shifts with full-time hours. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school
- Current RN license in the State of Ohio
- Completes twenty-four (24) contact hours of CE during each two-year licensure renewal period
- Obtains American Heart Association’s BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintains it
- Attains ACLS, PALS and/or NRP within six months of employment and maintains certification
- Obtains de-escalation training within six months of hire and maintains certification annually as applicable per department
- Demonstrates knowledge of current nursing practices and hospital policies
- Available to work all shifts, including every other weekend
- Full-time position with 80 hours per pay period
