Job Summary
Provide care to chronically ill patients recovering from kidney transplant procedures and other complex conditions on a fast-paced, high-acuity unit. Utilize the nursing process to coordinate care plans for assigned patients, delegate tasks, and supervise staff while consulting the healthcare team for optimal outcomes. Accountable for adhering to policies, rules, and guidelines throughout patient interactions. This part-time role involves 12-hour weekend shifts from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm paid at time and a half, requiring two years of experience and BLS certification. Join Saint Luke's Health System, a faith-based nonprofit in Kansas City, to support their growing Kidney Transplant Services.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree
- 2 years Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- This position is a weekend work position
- It works 2- 12 hour weekends shifts Saturday and Sunday 6:45 am until 7:15 pm
- Accountable for utilizing the nursing process
- Responsible for performing patient care
- Responsible for delegating patient care tasks
- Responsible for supervision of other patient care staff
- Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients
- Consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency
- Abides by policies, rules, guidelines
