Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Full-time nights shift required; physical demands include lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and walking. Obtain and maintain a current RN license and required certifications such as BLS. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- One or more of the certifications below: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications as required
