Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients, including performing specialized treatments, administering prescribed medications, coordinating patient care with other departments, collecting pertinent data to formulate nursing diagnoses, developing and implementing individualized care plans, instructing patients and families about care, outcomes, and home care, and communicating findings to the health team. Demonstrates clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Requires active Illinois RN license, BSN/MSN or ADN with commitment to BSN/MSN within 2 years, and CPR/BLS certification. The role involves in-hospital patient care, assessment, care planning, documentation, and patient/family education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program or accredited ADN with commitment to BSN/MSN within 2 years
- Illinois license to practice as a registered nurse
- Current CPR or BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
