Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and implement care for adult patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab as a circulator, scrub, or monitor. Perform holding duties by ensuring patients are correctly prepped and verifying timely history and physicals. Utilize critical judgment to analyze assessments, administer medications to critically ill patients, and report abnormal information to physicians. Perform hemostasis safely, enter and verify patient orders and charges, and provide independent care in stressful situations. Educate patients and families on perioperative procedures, escort them to cardiology areas, and conduct point-of-care testing as needed. Maintain constant alertness while working day shifts with 40 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Two years' registered nurse experience (Regional Float)
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
